Mason Currey is the author of the Daily Rituals books, featuring brief profiles of the day-to-day working lives of more than 300 great creative minds. If he didn’t start the genre, Mason definitely popularized public interest in routines, which I’ve found to really benefit my creative process.

Alex Kallaway is the lead developer at Jiffy. He started the #100DaysOfCode challenge, a must-try for anyone wanting to refine their programming skills.

Chris Kim (CVRE) is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, songwriter and sound designer whose work has been used in tracks by artists like Justin Bieber, A Boogie With Da Hoodie, Future, Juice WRLD, and Don Toliver. Rob, Vinny, and Chris started Good Karma.

Michelle Kuo is an Associate Professor in the History, Law, and Society program at the American University of Paris, and a visiting professor at National Taiwan University. She is the author of Reading with Patrick, based on her experiences teaching English in the heart of the Mississippi Delta at an alternative school for kids who were expelled from other schools and returning to work as a tutor in a county jail after graduating from Harvard Law School. Michelle’s writing has changed my life and it will change yours too.

Shantell Martin is a visual artist, intuitive philosopher, cultural facilitator, teacher, choreographer, songwriter, and performer, and more. She is best known for her line drawings. I appreciate Shantell’s consistency, simplicity, and process.

Dacoury Natche (DJ Dahi) is a Grammy-winning record producer, DJ, songwriter, and singer from Inglewood, California. There’s a fair chance that at some point, DJ Dahi has been your favorite recording artist’s favorite artist. He has driven or contributed to some of my favorite music, including Pusha T and Jay-Z’s β€œDrug Dealers Anonymous,” and an album like Childish Gambino’s 3.15.20. He is also known for his work on Kendrick Lamar’s album Good Kid, M.A.A.D City, Childish Gambino’s album 3.15.20, and for winning a Grammy with 21 Savage on their song, β€œA Lot.”

Vincent Pan (VinnyX) is best known for producing Kodak Black’s breakout track β€œNo Flockin,” which went on to be certified double platinum and was also the inspiration for Cardi B’s smash hit β€œBodak Yellow.” I was introduced to Vinny through our mutual friend Rob Wang.

Michael Saviello (Big Mike) has been the manager at the iconic East Village barbershop, Astor Place Hairstylists, for nearly 40 years. He paints every day during his lunch break in the back of Astor Place, sometimes with a bottle of wine, sometimes to melodies of jazz. Big Mike’s journey is an inspiration and an incredible example of doing things and telling people.

Lindsay Jean Thomson is a writer and community builder. She facilitates #The100DayProject, a free global art project taking place online. I would be entirely unsurprised if the next generation’s artists emerge from Lindsay’s project or other work.

Vin Verma is the founder of Futureland. He makes films, music, and software. I appreciate Vin for his balanced practicality and vision.
